[A short, charming rainy day poem and some lessons we can learn from the rain. There’s power in slowing down.]
Rain splashes all around
like tiny pebbles dancing on everything they touch
carefree
free-falling
falling free
tress wiggle and laugh
as the rain tickles their leaves
how easily the rain falls
no thinking
no worries
no fear of what others may think of it
it simply
and joyously
falls
covering the earth in a wet blanket
soaking into every crevice
bringing life
the rain reminds me it’s ok to cry
let the tears fall
cleansing
washing
releasing
we need the rain
we need our tears
they bring forth new energy
and sometimes
after the storm
a rainbow
